Valencia, CA -- H2W has released NCM Actuators that are available from stock with strokes up to 3 inches, and longer strokes are available upon request. Although Voice Coil Actuators are traditionally shorter strokes, H2W now offers longer stroke actuators from stock. The moving magnet style actuator is provided with supplied internal bushings and a hardened steel shaft. H2W currently stocks actuators up to 3 inches of stroke, and has built moving magnet actuators with a stroke as long as 5 inches, and up to 12 inches can be built upon request.

Low Cost, High Performance, Industry Standard, Air Bearing Linear Stepper Motors For New and Existing Applications from H2W Technology

H2W Technology 12 lb. Linear Stepper Valencia, Santa Clarita, CA — Choose an easily integrated, low cost, high performance, 2-phase or 4-phase, linear stepper motor from H2W Technologies to improve the performance of an existing motion control system or create a new high speed, high accuracy system. These, compact, industry standard, “12 lb. Linear Steppers” (53 N continuous Force, 16 lbs, 71 N peak force) travel at 80 in/sec. [2 m/sec.], with 1 micron [0.00004 in.] resolution, and can operate in any axis. Additionally, these “12 lb. Linear Steppers” feature 1G acceleration and are the ideal choice for any of the following: New and existing gantry robots, pick-and-place systems, wire bonders, parts transfer, fiber optic, semiconductor, medical, and other precision robotic applications.

Available with a hard chrome, solid or hollow “platen” (track) in lengths up to 144 inches (3.65 meters), longer travels can be achieved by supplying the platens in sections, the H2W Technologies, industry standard, “12 lb. Linear Stepper” is capable of very precise position, velocity and acceleration control when integrated with a microstepping drive and indexer. The resolution of these 2-phase or 4-phase motors is determined by the driver. One full step equals .010 in. [250 microns] and one microstep equals .00004 in. [1 micron]. Ideal for open loop positioning applications with moderate payloads, the “12 lb. Linear Stepper” can also be operated as a brushless linear servo with up to 5 Gs of acceleration and no loss of accuracy.

Capable of generating 12 lbs. [53 N] of continuous force these single axis linear steppers have a forcer [motor], air bearings, side guide bearings, and platen [track] integrated into a compact, low-profile, package. The forcer connects to a motion control system via flying leads or “D” connector. Multiple forcers can operate on a single platen at the same time. Linear steppers can also be custom designed to meet a particular application’s requirements. Santa Clarita, CA -- H2W has released a number of custom designed Multi-axis Crossed Roller Positioning Stages, or XRS, capable of producing high speeds in unique motion profiles. The photo above shows a XRS designed to operate at -200C. The XR Positioning Stage is a compact, small cross section open or enclosed positioning stage for short stroke linear servo applications (up to 12 inch stroke). It is driven by either an iron core or ironless core 3-phase brushless linear motor and guided by 2 sets of parallel cross roller bearings. The dual parallel rail sets offer excellent load carrying capability. XR Positioning Stages are used in the following applications: Pick and Place, Vision Inspection, Parts Transfer, or Clean Room Environments.

High Performance, Low Cost Closed Loop Linear Stepper Stages from H2W Technologies

Santa Clarita, CA -- A new series of closed loop linear steppers is now available from H2W Technologies. These low cost linear stepper motor stages with an integral linear encoder features high resolution to .00004 in. (1micron), repeatability to .0004 in/ft (.033mm/m), and accuracy to .001 in/ft. (.0833 mm/m). Capable of speeds to 118 in/sec (3 m/s) and acceleration up to 5 G’s the linear stepper stages are ideal for: assembly, sampling, and inspection operations, robotics, pick-and-place, testing, medical lab, and optical applications.

This new series of linear stepper stages is available in travel lengths to 144 inches (3.6 m) and forces of 6 lbs. (27 N), 10 Lbs. (45 N), and 20 lbs. (89 N). When installed as a system which includes a motion control package from H2W Technologies the performance is equal to a 2-phase, zero backlash, brushless motor in speed, acceleration, and smoothness.

A cable carrier insures that cables are protected and will provide the highest possible cycle counts (100,000,000 plus cycles). Provisions have also been made for the user’s cables to routed in the cable carrier. Custom mounting holes in the moving table are available at no additional charge. A switch for “Home Position” and optional end-of-travel limits can be specified. This high performance package is low cost ant has very short lead times.

New! Crossed Roller, Linear Servo Motor Stage Features 0.1 Micron Resolution!

H2W Motion Control Crossed Roller Stage Santa Clarita, CA -- The XRTM Positioning Stages are a new series of very stable linear motor stages are now available from H2W Technologies. These wide footprint, crossed roller bearing, brushless linear motor stages have large load capabilities (200 lbs/90 Kg), high resolution ( 0.000003937 in./0.1 micron), high velocity 100 In/sec./2.5 m/sec), and high acceleration (9 G’s). The large footprint can be mounted on any flat surface. The large, low profile stage with it’s smooth motion, makes the XR Positioning Stages ideal for use as the base or “X” axis in stacked multi-stage (X-Y) applications and for: Inspection, pick-and-place, robotics, part transfer, testing, semiconductor manufacturing, and clean room applications.

The XR Positioning Stages are supplied with an iron core, non-cogging linear motor with sinusoidal or trapezoidal commutation, or an ironless core 3-phase brushless linear motor for higher acceleration. Two Axis Linear Stepper Motor Gantry Stage Features 10 Micron Repeatability!

H2W Motion Control Linear Stepper Stage Santa Clarita, CA -- Compact, low cost, two axis linear stepper motor gantries from H2W Technologies, Inc. offer low force, high speed, high repeatability, zero backlash, and long system life. Capable of very precise position, velocity, and acceleration control when integrated with a microstepping drive and indexer. These 2-axis motion control gantries are ideal for precision applications such as: laser marking, medical testing equipment, inspection systems, pick and place, assembly, rapid prototyping, wire bonding, and fiber optics.

Available in travel lengths up to 72 inches (both X and Y axis) these two axis linear stepper motor gantries feature an open loop accuracy of .001 in/ft (85 microns/m and repeatability of 0.0004 in. (10 microns). For closed loop operation an optional encoder is available. Full step resolution is 0.010 (250 microns), however, when microstepped, step size resolution can be as small as 0.00004 in. (10 microns). Continuous force on both X and Y-axis is 6 lb. (27 N), peak force is 8 lb. (36 N).

For easy integration custom mounting holes in the base plate and the Y-axis stage are available. A complete package including an indexer and driver for open loop operation or controller and driver for closed loop operation are available from H2W Technologies.
